CVS Documentation on the web
There are many sources of CVS documentation on the web. To really understand how CVS works, you should read the canonical CVS documenation, and the client/server reference.
The CVS FAQ is also a useful resource, though it is rather out of date.
A newsgroup for discussion of CVS-related issues is comp.software.config-mgmt.
